JAVOedge releases Cingular Blackjack JAVOScreen Anti Glare and Ultra Clear screen protectors.

The JAVOScreen Anti-Glare screen protector is the perfect compromise between visual clarity and anti glare properties. Features a 3 layer construction structure. The top layer is a special matte finishing which allows an incredible amount of light through while still retaining it's anti reflective properties. The middle layer is an armor layer that shields your screen from scratches. The last layer is a silicon compound which adheres to your screen without leaving sticky residue. This layer is fully washable, water will not reduce it's ability to stick to your screen.
Miraculous glass like crystal clarity! JAVOScreen 2.0 Ultra Clear will maintain the life and vivid color of your device. Designed specifically to guard your sensitive device from unexpected bumps and scratches. It is the perfect product if you put your device in pant pockets or purses. A special mixture in the plastic used for the JAVOScreen 2.0 refracts 99% of UV rays from reflected light which in turn protects your eyes.

Are you trying to open a WM5/SmartPhone CAB file?
What version of OCP CAB Manager are you using?
The older version can't handle the above CAB file. It will render them useless as you'd experienced.
You should have at least version 2.1

Looking fresh in to this options, and thinking over these options: - Smartdrive U3 programs - Smartdirve with MIGO - MIGO for Ipod - U3 programs on PDA
Now using Ready2Go programs seated on my PDA's storagecard Conecting PDA to PC as a USB storage device with Card Export It works great, but like to get some more insight on the other options
Regards PDAFreaker
Edit: I will put the Ready2Go programs in the upload PC stuff for testing

I'm looking for a good application to take notes for WM5 It should be able to sync with my laptop. Also i need a flexibility in entering info. Switch between taking notes and sketching is a must. The organization of the notes is very important. A good search capability is also a must. Templates are more than welcome.
I'm currently using Phatnotes pro, but looking for advice on (possibly)better solutions. |

on: August 25, 2006, 01:36:35 am |
| Started by Dov46 | Last post by Dov46 |
Hi all!!
I bought a 2GB Kingston SD card for my iPAQ h4150 - planning to use part of it to store music. My previous SD 512MB card was compatible with my PC Notebook - i.e.: I could read and write to the card with both my notebook and my iPAQ - and both would be readable by the other.
However, my new card seems not to be compatible. I formatted the SD card in the computer - the PC would but the PPPC would not be able to read it. If formatted in the iPAQ, then the PC would not read whatever I wrote to the card.
I use FAT32.
What can I do, so the card is both readable or writeable by both PPC aand PC?
Thanks, Dov |

Im still poking my head in as I find tyme, but its definately not as often as in the good old says... Harkening back to the days of CEWAR*Z makes me remember all the great info, the help replies, the file help...patches, tweaks, WHICH PDA IS BEST discussions that prevented lousy spending... But the days of the PDA seem to be mostly behind us. Other than those using PDA PHONES, the handheld PPCs are all but gone for most of the public. I have my 2215 still taped to my side daily, it has fixed HUNDREDS of cars for me using some really cool automotive softwares...but its also getting hard to replace with newer units that have full functionality with SERIAL and older software designs...so its a sad world. I dont want the era to end...but I guess everything gets its run...then it eventually slows down and sometymes dies. I hope not...but what can we do? |

It must be almost 2 years before my last post. I know it will sound stupid, but I felt kinda awkward to see the old timers posting in this thread, maybe a little touched. Because I have very fond memories of the people of this forum. And the way many of them offered to help me back then, when I posted the reasons of me leaving this forum. Hope you guys are well. I see that the activity has drastically fell here and it sads me. But this place will always be really special to me. Because of its people. Take care. |

I use SPB v1.5 and it's perfect. I used to use Sprite but I'm now using an Orange branded pda and they have a known issue with Sprite (something to do with the security certificate) and it simply will not install on most Orange devices. Anyway I highly recommend SPB version 1.2 or above |

I enabled all events BTW the dual reminder is a nice optio but i'd be happy if the first one would work.
I was happily using pocket informant untill I decided to give AF a try.
After installing (without changing any settings) I noticed that reminders weren't working anymore. Changing whatever setting in AF did not do the job.
Disapponited I uninstalled AF. Still no reminders (and I really do have reminders enabled in settings)
Even with the standard agenda I didn't get any reminders. I tried an app that I found on a forum called Check notification (Scarybear). That didn't help either. Finally (desperately) I did a hard reset. And I got my reminders back. Well I though,.. lets give it another try. I installed Agenda fusion again, and...... WTF, again, no reminders!!!
I had to hard reset it again to get reminders back to work. After that I installed Pocket informant again. And untill today,.. reminders are working as before...
I'm not an expert,... but this seems related to AF (and not to the reported bug on not waking up on reminders) |

Sorry been off-line for a few days.
I've got an Orange M600 (imate Jamin). It's much much smaller than the M5000. I lose the VGA screen for a QVGA one. No built in keyboard and no 3G, but I have to say considering that the processor is supposed to be less than half the power I'm amazed at what this little thing can do. On day to day stuff it's actually more responsive that the M5000 was. It can struggle with oversized high quality movies but I don't mind resizing movies, it means I can get them even smaller. I simple love the size it's like having a PDA and phone and it's hardly bigger than a small nokia phone (and very light). It runs Tomtom/satnav very well and the battery life is also better.

I've been looking around for many months. What I've observed, sitez offering direct downloads are on a rage. At least thousands of members registered.
Funny thing is that I saw almost all TeamPV releases were spreaded there and can be downloaded easily as long as you're registered.
Being a loyal Spam-CE/Pocket Force member doesn't get you anywhere. Sometime, not even an access to PV releases (which are supposedly for these two boards members only). A big irony, i would say
So, the real fact, warez draw crowds. Sad but true.
Since our intention here is not for warez, then we have to accept that we are not inviting leechers
So more quality than quantity (as a defending statement)

I don't know, maybe the scene is not as active as before. Maybe, the hype is over and lesser software products are released. That's for me, I was so excited with my first and second pda, but now, with my third and the fourth is coming... the interest decreased and I'm more _using_ the pda instead of playing with.

The speed is not comparable with a 400mHz cpu but is much faster than 200mHz Arm/Xscale |

The Etem looks nice, but just to say this: In M$ terms this is not a Smartphone, it's a Pocket PC Phone Edition. Which basically means till WM2003 (kinda, same code base) different OS and very important - no one-handed use. Now with WM5 Smartphone and PPCpe are (fully) kompatible, with hardware differences like rendering and stylus or keyboard control. So as far as i know, the HTC Tornado variants are the fastest and best WM based Smartphones hardwarewise. For the PPCpe, I now have a T-Mobile Vario - which is slow crap. The Etem 400MHz is surely veeery interesting...

how about the ETEN M600 or just released ETEN M600+ M600 = WM5, 400Mhz, Wifi, 128Mb, 1.3m pixelpixel M600+ = WM5, 400Mhz, Wifi, 256Mb. 2.0 megapixel
there have been ROM problems with these, but, ETEN has finally got them sorted out. I bought mine a month ago and find it very fast and NOW (2days ago) finally got a patch to improve the call volume.
There is also the O2 ATOM, but I am not sure if it is available where you are.

I already had quite a heap of qteks from vodafone and also from t-online, two german providers. I never had problems to use the sim card of one provider with the branded device from the other. Ok, you have to change the sms server number manually, but this won't be a problem, or? I doubt you have to unlock the device, but if so, there are so many boards especially for qtek etc. you should easily find your way
I personally think, qtek is the best device with wm5 and integrated phone. Especially the qtek9000 which has UMTS built in. 128mb ram is mostly one big advantage in comparison to other devices.

I have a Qtek9100 also called VPA compact II, I'm very satisfied with, expect for some incompatibilities with WM2003 applications. Size and weight are acceptable to use it as a regular mobile phone. I also own a Qtek9000, also called VPA iV, which is meantime really a heavy one, not really serviceable to use it as a mobile phone, but I like the UMTS support so it's the first device for me where internet surfing makes fun the first time.

Waiting for my QTEK 8310 - I think the best available smartphone atm. SAmes applies for SPV600, iMate5 etc. which are all HTC Tornado variants. I would not buy anything else - WM5 is a must + WLAN is just cool on a mobile phone :-)

My wife and I both have these (mine Orange wifey on O2) they are both now unlocked. Mine was a near free upgrade on my mobile contract and wifeys was £250 second hand (but as new and still wiith 7 months guarantee). There are plenty of second hand ones around because lots of people just don't like the size, they are definately PDAs and not phones if you know what I mean.
If you want to know anything about these just ask... |

| The qtek 9100 is pretty nice. It's not a smartphone OS however, it has WM2005. But I don't like the smartphone OS so it's not a problem. Screen is pretty big and it has a nice keyboard. Worth checking it out. |

| Do like sirpott says, visual studio 2005 with .net compact framework is pretty easy to learn. |

Could it be something as simple as the card name.
The default name the first time it is inserted is something like 'Storage Card'. If the power supply has been interupted the card could then be seen as a different card and renamed as 'Storage Card2'. It's worth checking because if the default name has changed none of the programs will work (the registry would have them stored under the first card name).
I would also check the card with a utility like 'Storage Tools' to see is the card has become corrupted, you can also check for errors using windows and a card reader. It may be that part of the card is corrupted and it needs to be reformatted. |

| And you have tried to remove the SD card and only have the CF card inserted? What brand of expansion card did you buy? What is the exact error you get? |

Hard to say, but here are some questions for you:
How did you install the game/app on the card? Did you go through activesync or did you copy files manually to the card? Are you able to copy for instance music to the card and then play it back? Do you also have another storage card inserted and have you tried wheter the game/app runs when that card is not inserted?

Aside from the bundled softwares and cover facelift, this device is an XDA Atom.
I've played with the Atom and my impression is that the device is too small. I don't like the small screen as well as the screen quality. Colors are washed out like the old iPAQ (or early XDA II). The build quality is excellent, on par with the HTC products. So I would expect the same good build for this HP phone.
Anyway, I never like small PDA. Thus I get the HTC Universal

| The last HP phone I used was a disaster. It crashed every 5 minutes. Even when only playing the builtin game. We send it back because it was crap. I surely hope this one is better. I'am still in doubt wheter I should get a normal phone or a ppc phone. |
